  1. I still believe that something like the picture below is what conexxelectrical is referring to. Maybe he will drop back in some day to set us straight.😍
  2. You may want to look at a box extender, most box stores with electrical has them. https://litestoreusa.com/index.php?id_product=2706&id_product_attribute=0&rewrite=arlington-be1-single-gang-box-extender&controller=product&msclkid=8070ff07bd63154337259f123e84131c&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=**LP Shop - Catch All&utm_term=4588399461891867&utm_content=Catch All
  3. I think the drill arm machine referred to is a drill arm that is used on a semi truck frame. Joe referred to sleeved bore diesel engine used in the over road semi that can achieve a million miles plus. Like my engine, and those used in Prevost and most commercial coaches. My engine has upward of two million logged miles total, with only one rebuild in 1999 at 1100114 on original engine.
  4. Have you filled out the signature portion under your profile?
  5. The IPad probably has a better antenna system than the phones, due to much more limited space within the phones.
  6. Carl, I think the Hurricane system is hydronic (water) that uses diesel like Oasis. If this is true, the baseboard radiator will work well if plumbed in correctly.
  7. Carl, if you DIY, this stuff is cheap, HomeDepot sells a case of this stuff (6 spray cans) for less than $50.00, you can paint the DS with 3 cans. Comes in 4 colors plus gold and silver, is water base, and as stated, if you get tired of the color, just peel it off.
  8. The 295/75 is nearly 1.25 inches shorter than a 295/80 tire which changes the circumference by nearly 4 inches which will drastically change the speedometer accuracy also on the drive axel.
  9. 80-90 is too low, have you used another gauge on the system to make sure the dash gauge is correct? You can add a schrader valve to the system if you don't already have one then use a standard tire pressure gauge to check. Leaking drier is already replaced, there may be an obstruction between the dash gauge and the tanks, the replaced drier may be set at too low pressure, also be sure to purge the other tanks for water, this sometimes helps. There should be a manual purge valve on each air tank, some units have two and some units like mine have three.
  10. This stuff is peelable paint, leave it on until you are tired of it then peel it off and the surface below looks just like it did before you painted it.
  11. Ernie, you and I are lucky, we don't need one of those dreadful (if it has become in disrepair) things. Stainless steel last for a long time, and can be repolished if needed, LOL 😎. If did have one and it began to look bad, not cracked or turning loose, I would simply paint it with a peelable paint to make it look good. I did this to a coach several years ago, the owner loved the outcome.
  12. I use one of these along with a couple ceramic heaters in my 40 ft. coach, not the brand shown but an infrared like this one, have been in 15 degree outside and remain pretty comfortable inside. Comfort Deluxe with Copper PTC Infrared Zone Heater by AirNmore
  13. Well since we are on the subject about Convection/Microwave ovens, I hope that is what the question is about. In todays market, I would look into an air/fryer/microwave instead of the convection. The air/fryer is at least one third faster than convection oven, which is one third faster than a regular bake oven. You can sear a steak in an air/fryer, then finish off in the microwave in half the time of a convection oven. I like to sear the steak in an air/fryer then finish smoking on the Traeger smoker.😀
  14. I did all of the instructions, got the red hyperlink, clicked on it then entered my own membership # preceeded by the letter F, then click on search, viola success. Hope this helps Ernie
  15. Here is an interesting read for the bourbon/whiskey connoisseurs. Bourbon doesn't have to be made in Kentucky. Here's why (courier-journal.com)
  16. Since we now know that bourbon and whiskey are the same in Tn., here is a list of the whiskey trail in Tn. https://www.tnwhiskeytrail.com/distilleries/ On my many trips to Tn., I learned that in a dry county in Tn., only the spirits made within that county can be sold in that county.
  17. Welcome to the forum. Unless you are getting a SUPER deal, I would RUN, not walk away from this deal. The value of such a coach IHMO will be drastically reduced just by driving it home.
  18. The second screw on each side is probably behind the crown molding. How hard will it be to remove the crown molding? Most of the time the crown molding only has a few small nails or staples, if this is the case, it can always be replaced with a few nails.
  19. On all roads there is no guaranty that bridges will be a minimum height. Here is the requirements on an interstate. On Interstates, the clear height of structures shall not be less than 16 feet (4.9 meters) over the entire roadway width, including the useable width of shoulder. In urban areas, the 16-foot (4.9-meter) clearance shall apply to at least a single routing. Most box semi trailers are 13',6", and no that is not some rule that exist, just common practice. Many atlas's will give clearances on a route. Currently, Google Maps does not support different vehicles types or any commercial vehicle settings. ... Many non professional drivers hit the road every year with recreational vehicles and find themselves stopped (or damaged) by an unexpected low bridge.Sep 13, 2019 It is a very good thing to research your route for both Height, weight, and width when planning a trip. Your question is a very good one and thanks for making yourself and others of thes facts.
  20. Welcome to the forum! If the house batteries are 6 volts, then they should be in series as the bottom diagram shows. But if 12 volts, they must be parallel as the top diagram shows. Be sure that 12 volt batteries are parallel, if incorrectly wired the circuit will be 24 volts, 12+ 12 = 24. Most units from the coach builder were 2 - 6+6=12, golf cart batteries were commonly used because they have in most cases a greater amp/hour rating than 2 12 volts.
  21. If you don't have a manual, here is pdf link to probably same generator that you have, Page 51 shows fault code that you referred to, page 54/55 have some pertinent info. https://www.granddesignrv.com/sites/default/files/Cummins Onan Generator Manual.pdf
  22. Again, be sure to check oil and coolant levels. From 3/4 to 1/2, (don't know how long between) "maybe leak", but not likely, propane goes out if leaking, and has an odor, so unless there is a smell, probably not a leak large enough to amount to your size problem, certainly can not hurt to check for leaks for safety sake. Try putting a load on the generator next time it cranks to make sure that it is producing current and see if it runs longer. Some older models generators used an exciter to start the generator function, if no current from generator, it will self stop the engine. If your fridge is on propane, it should be showing LP, if AC then it is on AC. What is the model # on generator?
  23. Or how cold is it outside? When was the last time the propane tank filled? I use a propane generator also, and had the same issue to date three times in the last five years. Every time thus far it has been the result of an overfilled propane tank. If too cold side, propane can give the same results. Also check the radiator coolant level, this will shut down the unit, as well as low oil.
  24. If anyone had read read my first instructions, there are ways to measure both electric and resistive to determine where the failure is. The website that I referred to does both, so there was no need to retype all that I typed before. The sending unit is nothing more than a potentiometer (rheostat) inside the tank that raises or lower the resistance to ground which in turn raises or lowers the voltage at the gauge. If no resistance between the + and - on terminals on gauge, then 0 voltage will occur but a test between the + terminal and a known ground then battery voltage will result, the op was measuring 7 volts which shows both voltage and resistance, therefore, time to look for stuck or broken float.
  25. Welcome to the forum weareontheGO. Your question appeared last Sunday and I answered in detail, then the forum went down and those posts have dissapeared since. I have found a pretty good read for you since, so rather than to retype it, here is a website with a very detailed to your question. https://www.sailmagazine.com/diy/test-replace-fuel-gauge-sending-unit Hope that it will help.
