'98 Fleetwood Discovery Living Room Window Removal
kaypsmith replied to desertdeals69's topic in Systems and Appliances
Bruce, those are great amp draw numbers. Everyone would be surprised to know how many calls I got when I advertised my ocean front property in Arizona for $500.00, LOL. -
If you remove the Freon, then the compressor will not come on because the low pressure sensor will not allow it to come on. When the system is charged then that sensor does allow the compressor to engage. An overcharged system should not blow a fuse since the compressor is run by the engine. This only leaves the clutch assembly, and the wiring to that assembly. I would unplug the wiring at the compressor and turn the system on just like I expected the system to work. If the fuse still blows, expect the wiring has a direct short. If it does not blow, plug the compressor back and expect it to blow again. I would not expect that only the clutch assembly can be replaced, but that is probably what would be wrong with the unit. Also a simpler test is to unplug the compressor and check the ohms across the two leads into the compressor, if your meter reads near 0, then that will be the culprit, also check the leads in the other direction for the same situation, this will be checking for short in the wiring harness.

There is a closet (optional W?D) by the vanity, also a closet below the bedroom tv. This would not be my choice coach either but to each his own.

I have much better luck removing the passenger side windshield on a split windshield for fridge replacement, just a thought. -
Columbus OH Walmart Allowing Overnight Parking
kaypsmith replied to dlschaufele's question in Destinations/Attractions
Here is a list that does not allow overnight parking. Although there may be others, based on local ordinances being changed from time to time. http://www.walmartlocator.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/no-park-walmarts-10-13-2016.pdf -
It seems that as time goes by we get more and more of these situations. I recently had a bad experience with AAA motorclub when needing a tow, the person there stated that if it was an MCI, it was a commercial vehicle, they actually sent a guy in a small wrecker to verify that it is a motorhome, of course the wrecker was too small to tow my coach. But yours being a Vantare, it's probably a Prevost conversion, if so I would offer the brand of the coach with the name Prevost or MCI, or Bluebird.

You can also use two 12 volt batteries wired in series to produce 24 volts as your power supply, just need the proper end to plug directly into the cpap machine. But the 12 volt converter sounds like a very good choice.
-
Is there an adapter that plugs into the wall and a cable from that adapter to the cpap machine? If so it sounds like a power supply (converter from 120 volt ac to 24 volt DC).

The manufacturers of the liquid have high praise for their product, of course, but many reviews have a lot of good things to say about that method. Here is a youtube video.

Tim's problem is the chamber itself, not the diaphragm. As a get me there, one can cap the air line to that brake chamber if necessary, just remember that is a limp only procedure.

My LP Honda generator will work on liquid also, but the use of a changeover valve was the culprit on trying to changeover from tank to tank automatically.
-
I have replaced many of them, yes it very doable if you have the correct tools. I assume that this one is the drive axel, what a shame as it is pretty expensive, but some good news, if you have collision insurance, you should report it your insurance company, in most cases they will usually pay their part because it is an accident. By the way, do not attempt to take that chamber apart if it is on the drive axel, the parking brake spring resides there.

100# tank good idea, don't depend on the automatic change over valves for extra storage. The auto change valve has a built in regulator, and the generator has an onboard regulator, the two in this condition causes the auto change over to take place at the 50% level, this causes both tanks from emptying below 50% level. I fought that problem for nearly a year before discovering what was happening. I don't know about the Onan setup, but many generators have a changeover built in to allow use of either gasoline or LP gas, a call to Cummings/Onan should be able to answer the OP.

Neutral Reversed Warning Light On Protecter
kaypsmith replied to michaelhillhouse's topic in Electrical
If it is showing neutral crossed and 1 leg open, that is referring to the fact that somewhere in the wiring, and most is the outlet that it is plugged into, the hot leg is on the silver screw, the one that has the widest spade, which is incorrect. The hot should be on the brass screw, the one with the narrowest spade. 1 leg open means that only two of the three legs make connection to their destination. -
Pure Sine Wave vs Modified Sine & Refrigerators
kaypsmith replied to sundancev's topic in Electrical
I have one thing to add to the OP, while shopping for a residential fridge, be sure to pay close attention to the information sticker on the inside of the fridge, looking for the lowest amperage available in the fridge of your choice, the lower the better because it will allow for the least usage of electricity, meaning of course longer time of run on the batteries. Also a newer technology is inverter technology, it does work better on PSW and probably will not run on MSW. This is one of the best improvements in the refrigerator industry, it allows the fridge to stay at the programmed temperature without the compressor cycling off and on (one of the most inefficient ways to run a fridge), start up of any motor is the the most costly part of running it. The inverter technology does not mean that it is designed to be run on an inverter, but that the motors uses the ability to slow down or run faster due to cycle change to keep up with the need to cool more or less. Good luck hunting! Kay- 53 replies

Using Front Jacks To Reduce Body Flex - True Or False

My common response to a remark like that is, "thanks, this is great to know", then continue working. -
Alabama DOT uses portable scales, if you happen on one of the setups, you can ask the officer to to do a four corner, and if they are not too busy at the time, they will. The truckers here never know where to expect them to be, but most commonly found on roads where there is a lot of pulpwooding going on.

I agree with Gary, the tension idler would my prime suspect. I had a part replaced just a few months ago and the alignment dot was incorrectly placed and just not allowed to seat into the alignment hole, the mechanic was wanting to make all sorts modifications, I had him remove the part and showed him his mistake, he then put it back together correctly, with no modification and a perfect fit.

Check valves can be found at most RV stores as well as Lowes, Home Depot, other building supply stores, as well any plumbing store. I agree that a plastic one is a bummer since hot water must go through it.

I believe the part is called a rubber gasket trimlock.

RV Satellite Service Recommendation

I'm still wondering which satellite is the best one? Maybe 119? -
Carl, close is a word so spell check would not have caught that, takes a real human. Clothes would have sent it reeling!
