  1. No different than, what is the best Coach? IMHO, it's all based upon, what you can afford? There a 3 manufactures of 5'ers that I know off, that will set you back $795k to 1.8 million! Then you got to tow it. Same with 3 Coach's, priced about the same! What most forget about is the 5 figures a year for Insurance and the same annual Lic. fee! So, what can you afford? What do you need? Pull behind (Airstream) or 5'er? IMHO again, there is no "Best" brand of anything! Carl
  2. Sorry! What's a straw cleaner? I''m ignorant.
  3. Ray, same that we have...works well, even in the "old" rv Parks, like Newfoundland.
  4. Mike. Welcome to the Forum! I'm at the end of South Central Rally and both coaches next to me, new 2019 Newmar's 45 foot, one with a CRV toad & one with a Jeep unlimited, spent 44 days in Canada, Yukon and 60 days in Alaska...not even a scratch! They, like me, don't have a rock guard or tow defender...cause more dings than they prevent, due to turbulence! Ever see them on Newell or Prevost? We just returned 2 weeks ago from 63 days in all the Eastern Canada Maritime, including Labrador. I have a Tradition 45' & Jeep toad, no problem! Was told the roads in Alaska, was better than Newfoundland and Quebec. Only one thing bothers me about your post...you seem to be more concerned about a $46,000 Ram Truck, than a $$$$ 42' DP !! I was in Alaska 1978 & 1987...my Fiance was there in one of her coaches in 1996 & 2004...we are going again in 2021...New DP 45 & Toad. Go enjoy yourself's...one suggestion. Carry an extra serpentine belt for DP, filters and windshield wiper blades.
  5. Has the dip stick been calibrated to 5.5 gal? I would go to a CAT Mustang shop and have my oil changed again...didn't cost you anything for the last one.
  6. It's vinyl, looks like leather and feels like leather...I keep mine clean with Windex! It's biggest enemy is bug spray with DEET in it...Deep Woods. If you have sprayed your legs, that's what you get. I learned that lesson from my motor cycle seat...same vinyl. Real leather, is very expensive. We have a Love Seat sofa at home, cow hide = $6,200. That money will replace all my "Villa" furniture, including driver/co pilot seats in my coach + I'll have $$$ left over! You can get it on line, for 80% or more, cheaper than Fleetwood will charge you! All furniture in a RV is modular.
  7. Any Fire Ants? Hope it's cooler & dryer than Texas or La. where we are now!
  8. Go too a Dollar or Dollar General Store...Plastic Straws come multi color in a pack of a dozen!

    GPS

So, with all the apps for the features, I estimate $700+/-...about what we all pay for a good dinner...right? Think I will pass!
  10. M & G on my Jeep Wrangler since 2013 and 87,000+ miles! Had them all, this is IMHO, the best there is!

    Hankook Tires

Mike, I don't know any motorhome owner, that does more than 20k miles a year/30k? Unheard off....I come in at 12-16k a year and now I'm on BF Goodrich 315/80! $5,400 for 8.
  12. Mine is between "Dock Lights" & "Exterior Coach Lights"! Your owners manual, should show a drawing or B & W picture of all dash controls.
  13. Been in that process for 2 years now! So many pro's & con's on new one...then there is CC or Beaver, pre 2007 & total remodeling!
  14. About a 2 ponder? We could not find any "Chicken Lobster"...all 1.5 pounds and up! We stayed with the 2's to 2.5, fit the table better! They had 14 off 8 lbs + at the plant for the Japanese buyer. US$750 each + fees, overnight delivery by UPS! They had one at over 17 lbs, not for sale, it was destined to be returned to the Atlantic, estimated age 150 years +! DB, we walked in that harbor & several others! LOL
  15. Have you driven a coach with "Liquid Springs"? I agree with WBill, ride first & then buy! IMHO, nothing wears you out faster than a coach that does not ride & handle well. Your half way to comfort with the STP, I have had that on all my gas coach's, except for one. I put it on my diesel coaches and now they just came out with a model that works on IFS.
  16. Jim S. Got my WB Tour at Holiday World in 2007, don't know if their Service has improved, and they did the same with me! I called around and drove to Jim's Trailer (they also sell WB's & Newmare's) in Lubbock, TX. It took 7 days & 41 Warranty items! I have not set foot in Holiday since. As for CW,, most are pathetic today.
  17. If I had a ISX 600/650, pre 2016 then yes! $10k would be chump change if they would cover the engine! Same with 2007,8 & 9 CAT. I have self insured/extended warranty for almost 54 years now, no regrets!!!
  18. There is a CB on your inverter, mine are along the right side also have a small push button in front, if any color besides green, push it. Check your batteries for good tight connection on post, also no green/gray/tan corrosion. As Ray, bad/loose ground is your enemy! Camera could be a bad spliter, mine is above Driver head in back of compartment, remove false back...my original cameras was Sony but spliter was another cheaper brand.
  19. DB, we had lunch there! I only missed not having Red Cabbage...since there was 48 of us, no soup! We had the whole place for 90 minutes! Did you find the Ice Cream Shop? It was 2 blocks past Sachsen. In Digby, across from Mc Donald, there is a pub called Sunset, they serve food on the back patio, the best scallops we found anywhere in area, also craft beer! We tried 7 other restaurants down by the Harbor. We where camped 44 miles away for 3 days, Parkers Cove, next to the Americus Lobster Processing Plant....Lobster Chowder fresh daily at 1100. One whole lobster per serving at CA$ 12, that was $8.40 !!!
  20. Yes. Welcome! It's nice to hear of a positive feed back...we get mostly negative! I know negative is less than 5%, but it's the squeaky wheel syndrome! Thanks
  21. Polymers is not cheap, nor is Ceramic...you can have a lot of wax hand jobs, for that $$$$.
  22. We came back with 20 lbs of Scallops from Digby...24 lbs of Lobster meat from NF and 50 of wild Salmon from Labrador! Flower Pots, Bay of Fundy, NB is 54 foot tide swing!!!
