  1. Wayne...they want free stuff I guess! RV'g has always been expensive, camping has not. I don't remember what the dues was 50 years ago, but at $75 a year now, that's really cheap!
  2. From PA to 2 months in Canada, we had nice fresh asparagus, 4 times a week. Great with Salmon & Scallops...that's what's for dinner tonight !
  3. Thank you! New one is $648 + Tax...Jim S. That apply's to a lot of Items! Bill, agree & don't want to give Joe a swelled head, but he's the best we got. When it comes to body work, Jim S., but he's out of business...he helped me out one time!
  4. I'm charter member! Only use it now for camping discount.
  5. Welcome and thanks! Please keep us posted on Newmar follow up!
  6. Wayne...you being flippant? We carry a Food Saver Pro in rig & house.
  7. Jim S. Per NI, they never have and see no reason why they should. They look at trades 2 ways. Can we move the unit by selling it here? Do we turn it over to a wholesaler? If they keep it, they do a complete PDI...Had the Beaver been mine, I would have taken it to the one and only, Beaver Dealer in Oregon. IMHO, it does not pass the smell test.
  8. Since you live in Grandbury, I'm surprise you didn't buy at National Indoors in Lake Livingston! They'll be getting our business.
  9. On auto, the way it works. Right side goes down first, then left side if that levels the chassis, it goes dormant, if not then right side will tweek the level to computers level. Note. The computer must be set at zero, before it can accurately give you a level coach when needed.
  10. Joe. We got the same...Linda dug. $89.95, so no real savings, just math! + the annual dues!
  11. Jim S. Right on!!! No manufacturer that I know off...monitors this site! I thought Newmar had a 24/7 number also? We have Newmar Mountain Air, on our wish list for next year!
  12. Linda did chili last night..She does not eat spicy food, so when cooking is done, I take some in a separate pot & add a kick to it. Meat only! With beans it's not right...When we where in Eastern Canada, we got wild (not farmed) salmon and cut into dinner portions, then in freezer it went..we did the same with "Hockey Puck" size fresh scallops in Digby, NS. So, tonight I'm grilling both, I use fresh lemon juice, garlic & butter. I left 25 lbs of frozen cooked lobster meat ( 1 lb per pack) in freezer at house! A lot of sea food chowder over winter!!!
  13. We have Skymed for our International travels, it's $185 each, per month! FMCA Seven Corners is a Sweet Heart deal...IMHO, Herman is right on the mark and if you feel that it's beyond your budget, then hang up your keys or cut out going to Starbucks for a week per year!
  14. To sanitize my water system...I do like DD69 does and I have a 100 gal. tank, same with water hose...been using HP for over 50 years and has not killed me yet. I also gargle with HP as I don't like the taste of mouth wash! RayIN...go figure.

    Hankook Tires

I used to run them on Gas MH. They stood up to the use & abuse...have nothing bad to say!
  16. I remember my first 7 months, all to well, thank you!
  17. That leads back to Joe's suggestion on 8/25! This coach needs a total service of both engine & chassis, DOT info of tires, batteries. Have you added fuel since purchase? The coach has been sitting a lot if it only has 46k miles in 24 years!!! Works on gas, NOT a DP!
  18. I must say that in the past year, I have heard about PR issues and issues with the receiver, has been an on going problem for some time now. However, there are still more +++ for Blue Ox than minuses. I use Roadmaster! I did have a Blue Ox 10,000 lbs, but gave it to a friend, when I stopped towing a big truck...understand it still works and is now 12 years old. I say this, because we don't get positive posts very often!
  19. Ross. Ford Chassis, Triton V10. Tranny & oil analysis is a must, I would do the same with rear end, look for rust. 40' is a DP Cummings 350...
  20. DD69, how do you keep them cool ?
  21. In 200 mph wind, your coach would be in another area code...never mind the fire! Geeze..
  22. Moth balls are poison! The fumes effect all living things, except moths! Cotton balls & a drop of Pepper mint oil, Rodent-be-Gone granular bags from Farm & Ranch Feed Store, Sulfa powder from Tractor Supply! We use Rodent-be-Gone, in each bay, generator bay, engine bay & a couple inside coach...1 bag holds 24 small bags for $18. Once a year, we order 2 dozen bags & that takes care of all the buildings, trucks, cars, 2 coaches, house and barns!
