  1. Women have a DNA that we don't have..."how to out live a spouse"! Therefor, rule # 1 for a male, is to marry a woman older than you! Rule # 2, don't get stressed or rule # 1 don't apply! Acetone is a great igniter when used with anything that goes bang! As Herman said, please use caution! Outdoors is best. Carl
  2. Five. Your coach and mine is basically the same coach, I'm a 10', your a 14' and you got a bigger engine...we have the same Bling. Joe. You don't need 3' more for a tag...there are several manufacturers out there that put a tag on 38' to 43' coaches! Dutch Star by Newmar, Nimbus by Foretravel, HR, Newell to name a few ! Bill E. You should look at American Coach, 2016 Dream...Bling in cabinets that look like they belong in a Gulf Stream G5, Private Jet ! I'll blind you ! Herman. Evergreen is in the mountains, about 25 miles WNW of Denver, CO., small and beautiful area! Carl

    HEST Lamp Came On

How to answer all this ! Joe. regen is normally about 4,000 miles +/- depending, when I went to Redmond, OR and back, it came on twice. From house to NC and back one time. This was the first time in about 5,000 miles. Don't seem to be an exact science! ObedB. Been thinking ! Bill. I was on that site last week... looking at a Nimbus! Kind of strange, because Foretravel was holding a Nimbus 08' for me, when I found this one! Brett. CAT Tech? or Cummins? The reason I ask, it's not what CCC in Atlanta and Jackson said, when I called them yesterday ! Apparently it's a common problem with pre 2010 engines...leaks! Mine is a December 2009. 425 HP. I know that coach factory re arrange things to suit their coach design, but do they also mess with exhaust system? Carl
  4. Herman. Good morning. I got into "barn" in Gladewater, hooked up and a glass of good wine in hand , at 4:45pm yesterday! Ran on CC at 63mph. I-20 is a very rough road from Meridian to just west of Shreveport ! Jackson, Vicksburg, Monroe and Shreveport, I can only run at 45-55 thru town and even that will beat you up ! I wonder how a gasser does it in one piece! Where you at? I forgot to tell you, I left Perry at 8:30am, Monday...went to INTO get together Sunday at 1:30pm. Too late to leave as planned. Carl
  5. Pretty much everything you just said ! A Class "C" on steroids!

    HEST Lamp Came On

Update. Per Cummins Coach Care at both Atlanta and Jackson. It is as Joe said. They feel that since I have gone thru the re-generation process and temps went down to 425, I should have no problems with taking my coach back to Cummins Houston via Gladewater, TX. Drop it off for a week next Monday. Cummins felt that it should have been detected when I was in for my massive B to B service earlier 5 weeks ago, so it's no cost to me ! I promise not to do 85 mph over a bumpy road (Just kidding). Carl
  7. DonLisa 1984, Welcome to the Forum! If you bought your coach from a dealer, take it back. If you got it from a FSBO, then either call factory for assistance or Google for nearest Dealer. If your a member of FMCA, then go to main site, log in and click under Chapters and see if there is a Thor Club. If your not a member, then become one, we have a $10 off membership going on now and have some great benefits, call 1-800-543-3622, 8-5 M-F. Ask for membership. Good luck and safe travel Carl
  8. Kay. I'll take you up on that offer, next time. I'll be on I-20 out off and going to Atlanta this summer....will you be at FMCA Reunion in Aug? Carl
  9. Yea. If I had one, It would be toast ! Cooking supper was interesting, my steak kept sliding west...
  10. Pamalaharper. Why don't you or didn't you take it to the factory? Carl

    HEST Lamp Came On

Puff. Your right! Amazing how much BS happened in 4 years, in part because of Al Gore and the new and improved EPA ! Global Warming is real, but the world could go back to horse and buggy, no modern technology and we still can't stop GW! In the meantime, I need some peace of mind on my current problem....if I have a problem? Carl
  12. Al. I used to have one, but gave it to a friend for his 5th wheel. He's 73 like me, but he's 5'4" and I'm 6'8" ! His moving parts work better than mine! Carl
  13. Perry, GA. It was great....thank you FMCA ! FIVE. Next one is W. Springfield, Mass. August 3, Then there is a 6 State in Okla. Sep. Carl
  14. Joe. Call me dumb, but what is Monaco wanted?
  15. I'm starting to really like the older, pre 06' coaches that Monaco used to own and two that they still own...no I will not even look at the new ones. I looked at every coach available for sale in Perry....they all have a lot off useless "Bling"! It amazes me that people buy a coach for the Bling and not the chassis and engine ! Back to oil hubs, sorry I vented. Carl
  16. Since I had not been to Perry before, I was advised to take Hwy 80 E thru AL and GA. Even Google maps and MapQuest recommend it. OK, 80 in AL is great, GA. Not ! I left Perry at 8:30am today and took I-75 to Atlanta and I-20 to Jackson, I'm at a Yogi Bear RV park, came in at 4:pm and that is stopping for fuel and 2 Rest Areas, 1 to eat lunch and 1 to just stretch my legs! From Jackson, Miss. to Longview, TX is an easy 6 1/2 hour drive down I-20. Took 2 1/2 days to get to Perry and 1 1/2 days back! 64mph on cruise control....no small towns at 35! No traffic lights! Some could say that 80 is more scenic, sorry, hard to look at things at 55/60 on one lane, no shoulder, cars and trucks, road. Then on 2 lane road, it's not much more to look at than the Freeway. I'll stick to the Interstate when going from A to B and sight see in toad! Had a great time in Perry and will return in '18! Thank You, FMCA. Carl
  17. In the past, when light came on it was the high temp burn off of the particulate. Exhaust #1 would go to around 1150 degrees and #2 to around 1250 to 1350 degrees...both for about 10 to 12 minutes. Today, #1 went to 750 and #2 to 1100...the difference was today I had lots of exhaust in coach with the stench of raw fuel. I pulled over at a off ramp and could hardly see the bedroom....no alarms or lights from dash or Silver Leaf. After about 10 minutes with windows open and fans on the HEST light went off and when I put coach in gear 4, and drove to Campground the temps on #1 and #2 was at 425! I don't feel or hear anything different. Could this be caused by the last Cummins visit when I had all filters replaced? Carl
  18. This park is very nice with lake and all the toys. It is located off exit 68 on I-20 outside of Jackson, Miss. If you have a 36' or less coach you will enjoy it. Anything bigger (they say Big Rig friendly) and it's absolutely horrible! I got in at 4pm and finally found a space big enough for my 45', but am only level side to side with jacks down, back to front is one whole bubble off ! $28 a night full H/U with cable! Carl
  19. I'm partial to Colorado. But all you have to do is Google each state RV park and or resort. Carl
  20. I got both in there now and will drive with it tomorrow in 1/2 tank full, then dump. When I get back to TX. I'll see how it goes! Normally, in the past, I would do it once a month when traveling and every other week while driving I would add about five pounds of ice cubes. Carl
  21. ObedB. For all practical purposes, Rally is over. I was going to leave today, then remembered an INTO. get together, so now I'm here overnight! We had almost 2,200 coaches! About 70% are still here, so tomorrow morning should be interesting....hope they are not all going North by West. Carl
  22. Joe. Did you totally dismantle as much as possible on your Nocold before taking it out the window? It is now 4:05pm at Perry, time for wine, cheese and crackers! Also cold...for us Southern folks! 63 with a WNW 23 mph wind. It's been in the 80's all week... Carl
