  1. Herman, that's from 2016. Put a block on it.
  2. The magazine has been losing $$$ for years & we have had the digital option for years! I use digital when we are traveling, but I'm Old School, so I look forward to my glossy mag when we are home! Same with the Escapees glossy mag. Don't know why we let GS go out there and get the 10% discount's at RV Parks & Resorts, big mistake almost 60 years ago! Be difficult to turn that around. IMO. We opened up FMCA to include Trailer, to attract the younger market, too offset our loss of members...didn't work! We expected young (not in need of FMCAssist)and got older! They love the Assist program... I'm an Optimist, but have run out of ideas and the ideas I have presented, falls on deaf ears!
  3. Everyone has their own opinion of why they have a RV, just like people who want a second home, away from the cities. Some of us travel also by boat or private plane! FMCA IMHO, has evolved from a club of like minded, family oriented, coach owners, that wanted to get together once a year and share experiences, to what we have today! Today we have 2 parts of FMCA. Non Profit & for Profit. Both Ross and Herman, do not like to discuss the whole picture. Come to think of it, as Ross said...6 years ago any member of FMCA could get a P&L of the Foundation. You can still get it, but only once a year and it's not the 990-N, but it's a condensed version, not interesting unless you know what your looking for! As for the FMC P&L? Good Luck, last one I had was in 2014. That's the For Profit side. Ross said we should have, but don't have 2 years in reserve...He's right, my CPA estimated we had about 20+ years in reserve! As Herman said, we will survive! Will FMCA be around for it's 100 year Anniversary? Most of us will not live 40+ years more to find out. I'm among the very few in FMCA, that used to have a 4 digit F# and since my DW passed away, now have a 6 digit #...got my coach in 1967! With Luck, this post will not be partially or totally deleted.
  4. In WA. You do want the pre-heat.
  5. Well done..I agree with Bill on wood. He needs spell check bad!
  6. I had my Roadmaster rebuilt in Perry, GA. FMCA INTO Rally...Cost = zero! I do not need a base plate on my 2013 Jeep Sport,,,3/16" Steel bumper, welded and bolted onto frame, so I use the "D" bolt connector for tow bar.
  7. Nice bike! Do you take both with you? I have a 07' Classic Cruiser by HD, trike out in Troop, TX.. Year before HD bought out Leland and came out with their own trike! Can't carry both, unless I get a staker trailer. Roadmaster is my choice also, along with M&G brakes, no base plate.
  8. 😂😂 The hardware for towing you can get at Home Depot, Tractor Sy and online!
  9. Yeah. Including gas and water doors... It's easy to pop one open...flat head screw driver, same latch as the American Coach (Same co).
  10. Garry. Welcome to the Forum! Buying a coach without seeing what the bay's look like... Call REV Group and as for a tech or parts! Good Luck
  11. $1,200 a month? By Whom...that's insane, the most I have heard about is $5,000 for 3 years! I remember when you got the Newmar. You asked us a lot of questions back then and got a lot of what to do, not to do! Most went unheeded. There is always something to replace...like a re-built tranny or turbo, fuel pumps, etc., all high dollar items! If you had the replacement done at a AH dealer, I would take a copy off the itemized bill and send it to Aqua Hot. I'm hoping you got the original bid in writing.
  12. Flat tow? on a trailer or 4 wheels down? Why even have dolly if you can do 4 down? Confused & need more info!
  13. Most of us do not sit down & read contracts. I'm at fault there also, so I pay the $100 to my atty and he keeps me out of trouble! 😎

Bill, prior to trading in both coaches...fun. Not! Now we have one and it's about the same, but the 1 coach is also worth more than the previous 2 combined. We also carry replacement cost. Still with State Farm and they do have a separate rate for RV's, everything on coach is covered, it's not a Safeco Policy! State Farm also have our cars and trucks and trailers. When we get married, I'm moving both houses over to USAA.
  15. Gas rig or small DP. I asked about a unit on a Spartan K-3 chassis..They don't do them!
  16. I'm surprised...you do not have TPM's! How do you tell if you have a leak?
  17. Now we have all the paper goods we wan't or need. Shortage now is Yeast, flour!
  18. Interesting....the ratio of cases vs death's remain the same! What I also love, is the comparison to Italy...Of course we have more cases/death's in US compared to Italy! Italy has approx. 60 million people, the US about 328 million! Duh!!!
  19. Like any club. Someone has to step up to the plate and contact FMCA to get the ball rolling! Seems to me, no one wants to do that, they just want to join an established, by some one else effort, club...not going to happen!
  20. We have TSD. Now that we have a 200 gallon fuel thank and take 100-120 gal. per stop, it's handy not having to go inside, just swipe card & enter your code, fill up and go! Like FIVE and Wayne, we use a passive account that carries an avg of $1,000...we set it up with the bank, if it goes below $400 a transfer of $600 goes in automatically from another acct. a month ago, I used a Chevron truck stop and cash for 86 gal. at $1.469...Love's was across the Hwy. at $1.849 (they do inflate the price )...TDS price was $1.579! Buyer beware.
