  1. I bet that was on the 1. 101 can be fun in places as it changes from 4 lane freeway to 2 lane, through the redwood state/national park where the trees stick out into the road. The biggest problem I saw on the 1 was the tourist stopping in the road on blind corners, to take pictures of the ocean. Bill
  2. I like it, by the way welcome to the forum. Bill
  3. What is it you wife doesn't like about your coach? Or is it you just want something different? You could probably get someone like Texas Custom coach to redo the interior any way you want cheaper than a new coach. Bill
  4. Nowhere did I say he didn't need a engine temperature gage. He has a nice analog one on the dash so why have a second digital one. Thanks Jim, maybe someday I can have a fancey setup like that. Bill
  5. Brett, please explain to me why you think it is smarter to have 2 water temperature gages and no transmission temp gage when you can have both? Yes the transmission should be trouble free, but I want to see if the temp goes up for some reason like having a leak or something not working right. Charlie, Glad you found out how to get it back.😉 Was it the button at the bottom the dash? You can set your coach up any way you want. I just like to have all the info I can get. What other things can you display? Bill
  6. Glad it worked out for you. Bill
  7. What does that button in the middle at the bottom do? Personally I like having a transmission temperature gage as you already have a water temp on the dash. Have you talked to who did the work on it? Bill
  8. Are you talking about the digital display or the gage display under it? Bill
  9. Wayne, isn't this your house for sale in Fredericksburg? https://www.zillow.com/homes/for_sale/Fredericksburg-TX/pmf,pf_pt/231730587_zpid/55679_rid/globalrelevanceex_sort/31.337217,-97.286682,29.384568,-101.46698_rect/7_zm/ You might be able to store your RV in the barn. Bill
  10. Keep working back with a meter till you find power. Bill
  11. Yes but when I am scrolled down I can't see it.🤩 Bill
  12. Welcome to the forum. These are all things I would associate with the chassis batteries not house. What RV are we talking about? If you add your RV and outher info to your signature it helps to get better answers quicker. Bill
  13. Most air lines on trucks/buses are. Not hard to replace just annoying that you had to. Hope this is the end of the air leaks. Bill
  14. The transmision would be a showstopper for me if it is just using 5 gears. The 6.7 is the same basically as my 5.9. I have been nearly everywhere with no major problems. Yes you need to shift to make best use. To me the new coach would be a step back from your current coach. Bill
  15. The 101 is not bad but I do not recommend taking your coach on the 1. See it in your toad. Like Brett I have done the west coast from the border south of San Diego to the Canadian border. Bill
  16. Yep, looks like it was over torqued. Is it a flare or compression fitting? Bill
  17. Now Carl, no where did I say it was the current Cummins recommendation. Although I think it is for the newer 2019 engines running DEF. The heads up on lack of downward compatibility comes from, https://www.api.org/products-and-services/engine-oil/eolcs-categories-and-classifications/oil-categories#tab-diesel-f-category 😄 Like Brett said, and you do know he is Mister Cat. He can answer any Cat questions. Bill
  18. You need to provide some proof to that statement. Because I think you will find out that a correctly formulated multigrade oil not only protects the engine at startup, but also throughout the life of the engine. You might want to read Cummins Engineering Standards – 20086 This is a list of approved oils. Endorsed and Recommended by Cummins - Valvoline™ Premium Blue™ including the 5-40 synthetic are first on the list, because they have a marketing arrangement with Valvoline. Under that is the Alternatives and, in that list, you will find the Shell including the T-6. One outher point. If Shell thought there was a chance their oil (including the T-6) could cause a problem why would the offer a 10 year 500,000 mile warranty??? I have a 5.9 Cummins.😁 One last thing to keep in mind in the future as the new API FA-4 oils become more available/prevalent. API FA-4 oils are not interchangeable or backward compatible with API CK-4, CJ-4, CI-4 with CI-4 PLUS, CI-4, and CH-4 oils. Refer to engine manufacturer recommendations to determine if API FA-4 oils are suitable for use. Bill
  19. Welcome to the forum. You can use any of your credit cards. (don't use a debit card) just let the bank/company know that you will be in Canada so they don't think it was stolen and lock it. I would notify a couple card s just because like here some places only like certain cards. Have a great trip. Bill
  20. Well getting ready to do my annual oil change. I run Shell Rotella T-6 5-40 full synthetic. I decided look online and see if shell was still doing a rebate. They still are but they change the rules. Now you can only get 2 rebates per household so if you buy 5 gallons of oil (in gal bottles) you can only get rebates on 2 gallons of $7.00ea or $14.00 if you just buy the gallons. I found they sell it at Walmart in 2.5-gallon containers this will allow you to get a rebate on each one of $17.50 or $35 for the two. https://rotella.shell.com/en_us/coupons-rebates-and-sweepstakes/better-fuel-economy-meets-better-wallet-economy.html#iframe=L0RJWS90NXQ2Lw== This is actually better than the last program because you could only get $5.00 on 4 gal containers or $20.00 total.😄 Bill
  21. Another place to look at quality use coaches is Motorhomes of Texas. They have some nice coaches. http://motorhomesoftexas.com/ Tell me what you think. Bill
  22. Sometimes it is best to pass. Are you just looking at Monaco's? www.pplmotorhomes.com Has several. Bill
  23. You won't have a problem as long as you know how to manually downshift to keep your power up so you don't lug the engine. Bill
