  1. I have heard on a Safari Zanzibar it is on the left rear corner of the basement, passenger side, of the coach in an enclosed compartment. I would look in the same area on yours. I would look under the sink and in the bay where the city water fitting is. Let us know where they hid it. Bill
  2. Yes T-4 will work just fine. I run Shell Rotella T-6 in both main engine and generator. Bill
  3. Well I would start with the basics. New cap and rotor new quality plug wires. Check/replace the fuel filters. It may just be the picture but the part on the upper right side in the second picture it is green on the bottom looks discolored. I would check that. Make shure the air filter is in good shape/or replace. Look for any leaking vacuum hoses. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKCQPlr2k6c https://www.summitracing.com/search/part-type/ignition-modules/make/gmc/engine-size/7-4l-454 Bill
  4. He did and didn't break the camera and I am impressed his caps are shiney. Bill
  5. As it was stated many times. Nearly everyone started down the "camping/travel" road the same way. So you have a "Qualifying" RV now. Have you changed? OK there are going to be some who act the Elitist, but you have that small number in any group. My tent came from a better store than yours type. The majority of people haven't changed from when they started. I think this is about including more PEOPLE not what they camp in. Yes the forum will need more categories. Look at the Good Sams website as an example. or iRV2 forum. "Take something that is working and copy it." So yes, I think this is a good idea. Bill
  6. Well you have been given the bad news. Unless you want to go "retro" and go back to living with an ice chest it's time for a new refrigerator. You can look at replacing just the cooling unit. The only down side is your old refrigerator box. How are the door seals and condition? I don't know why this didn't post yesterday??? Well anyway Herman, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! Bill
  7. Welcome to the forum. I use the same apps as Bradrm above so I won't repost the links. I allso use CoPiolt for navigation because you can down load the maps on WIFI and not use as much data when using it on the road. Bill
  8. That is one thing to always check when looking at coaches. Always have the slides brought in to check if you can get to the important stuff. The deeper the slides the further they come in to the center of the coach. Bill
  9. In Chandler we stayed till Saturday morning. The shut off time for the generators was 9:00 am if I remember right. I think we left about 8:00 and drove straight out with no "idle time". I would go for the 30amp area if you need consistent power for your CPAP. Bill
  10. This old post has legs. Herman they are so far into the wilderness they don't have Blue Bell ice cream. Bill
  11. I have noticed my display only shows 50 amp with the generator running. It will not show it on shore power unless the supply is below 50 amp. The display should have shown 15 amp when you were plugged in to the outlet in the pole barn. Bill
  12. Hopefully there is some way to drain it. When you are done siphoning it out you might try using a wet vac to suck the last bit so the tank is clean with no residue in it. The good news you can wash out the wet vac when you are done in a well ventilated area. Bill
  13. I had to look for it to. On the main page in the upper left part of the page they have a slideshow of different programs/benefits. You can use the arrows to cycle through the ads faster. Bill
  14. Phil, I can't afford a coach new enough to use DEF so I don't have any experience with the system. From the diagrams it looks fairly straightforward. I will bet it will turn out to be a best practice to drain the system before a long storage period. The only question is do you have a drain on the DEF tank? Can you install one? Bill
  15. Welcome to the forum. I would charge it off the same circuit that charges your engine batteries as they ar not deep cycle. Bill
  16. Carl, you are going to get hate mail from the winemakers because you arn't doing your part . You need more consumption. The upside of DEF is the people I have talked to are geting better mileage from the engines turned to use DEF. Bill
  17. Now if you could only get it to use diesel at that rate. Bill
  18. The first thing I would do is stop listening to people who tell you you can't run it on gas when driving. The next thing to try is do a "power cycle" turn the frig off, turn all your power off "battery switch" after 5 minutes turn it back on and try it on gas. Make sure you have propane. Light the stove to check there is no air in the line. You should be able to hear the burner light and burn. If it still won't work, take the cover off the circuit board and check the fuse. I think it is a 5 amp. Let us know if that works. Bill
  19. Roland, It is easy to sit back and give advice. I am going to back up what Carl and Black said. If you take care of your coach it will outlast you. GET WHAT YOU WANT. Let the kids trade it on what they want when the time comes. Well better advise is get one the wife likes. Bill
  20. I don't think I would have let anyone see the connector in the left front. For those who need new cables here is a source. They are sealed and won't corrode as easily. http://www.bestboatwire.com/ The custom made ones are about as cheap as the ones I got at Napa and better quality. Bill
  21. Welcome to the forum. Download RV Parkey and Rv campground reviews they will help you find and evaluate the campgrounds you are looking for. http://www.rvparky.com/ http://www.rvparkreviews.com/ What I look fore may not be what you are looking for. Bill
  22. What I did was I got a price from the dealer, basically an out the door price. Then with the price from the dealer and the price of the tires from Michelin I had a pretty good idea of the price and savings. I think having the Contentel program will help put preshure on Michelin to lower their prices. Bill
  23. You are absolutely right. You look cleaner than I did the night I patched a leaking air line under my coach. Bill
  24. I think I could get it turned around but would have to unhook the toad first. I did a turn around on a much narrower road with trees to dodge in West Virginia. I am afraid I may have talked badly about campground people who don't know how to rout you to their place. Bill
  25. Well if they do it probbabley won't be in my lifetime. Bill
