  1. Do you have it plugged into shore power? Do you have access to power for a battery charger? What do you mean by "all chassis services not effective"? How old are your batteries? What kind of batteries, lead acid, or maintenance free or other? As Rich said I would clean all battery connections including grounds. We need this information to make suggestions relevant to your situation. Bill
  2. I wasn't clear, you plugged the hard wired power cord (it was only 30 amp) into shore power or into the generator. No transfer switch. Bill
  3. I think the silicone spray is the best method. Herman, I can just see his next post "soap bubbles coming out of window track when it rains". Bill
  4. I had a older coach that was like Obed's. Mine was a 26 ft 1978 Executive by Monaco. You had to plug the shore power into the generator. Bill
  5. Make sure all the valves are in the right position and fully open or closed. I had an instance where the bypass valve wasn't fully closed it allowed more cold water to flow than hot If I remember it didn't have much volume either. Bill
  6. Welcome to the forum and sorry to hear about your loss. Let us know what the investigation turns up. Bill
  7. Happy New Years to you too. Keep an eye out for where the Forum meet and greet will be. As they say "to be announced". Bill
  8. Welcome to the forum. What you are seeing "melted green plastic or glue" is likely a epoxy glue of some kind. Is the hinge glued to the hood to? The only problem is going to be clamping the hinge in the right place/location when re installing. Clean and sand both surfaces and clean with acetone. You can use one of several 2 part adhesives. Hear is one idea. https://www.amazon.com/3M-Scotch-Weld-Epoxy-Adhesive-DP100/dp/B0074N8HS8 JB might hold as a alternative glue. Bill
  9. Walt, welcome to the forum. The FMCA towing guide shows it to be towable (manual transmission) but Remco show it to be towable on a dolly only. They only show the Kia Rio and not the hybrid. With the owner's manual saying no I would be looking at something else. There maybe something with the "Hybrid" part causing problems. Bill
  10. Try looking here for a kit. http://www.ebay.com/bhp/shurflo-pump-parts Bill
  11. Welcome to the forum. Hopefully when the Continental program comes online it will provide some leverage to improve the Michelin advantage program. When I was buying the tires for my CR-V I learned there are several "levels" to the Advantage program. You can start your own program. While I wasn't in the market right now I ran the price for 255/80/22.5 XVR Price from dealer was $594.34 price through FMCA $503.10. I can't find the quote for the other ones but it was about half the savings as the 255 tires. I agree there doesn't seem to be a set % discount. Bill
  12. At least you have them for reference if you have a problem. Bill
  13. Now you can start on all the appliances and outher included in your package. Bill
  14. Those darn owners manuals, They have just two much info. Bill
  15. I had a Ford Fusion 2.7 ecoboost Platinum last week for a rental and it was a pretty nice car and got 30+mpg on the freeway and was fun in the sport mode but mileage did suffer. The big thing is it can be towed 4 down for those looking for a toad. Bill
  16. Welcome to the forum. I have to admit I am a Blue Ox user. You made me go look and I think it would be fine. They look like they are more like the Blue Ox as they don't have all the parts of the towbar stuck on the front of your toad (when not towing) like the older tow bars. I would get the "off road" model as it is easier to hook up and unhook if you aren't straight and level. Trust me this happens sooner than later. Bill
  17. Has any more info on the Continental tire discount program been released? Bill
  18. Welcome to the forum. Here is a handy comparison tool. https://tiresize.com/comparison/ I have not heard any bad reports on the Toyo's Bill
  19. Welcome to the forum JC. I have a walkway on the near side of the bead and guess who claims that side. The last trip was the only time we stayed a Pilot. I parked on the side and ran the back slide out. Bill
  20. I found some rocks hidden in the grass on a tight corner up by Yosemite. Scraped the front right two doors on the slide storage bays. Still looking for replacements in all the usual places. Bill
  21. When you have the alignment done, I would have it loaded for travel. Changes in weight = changes in height = changes in alignment. Yes it would be helpful to drive several different coaches to see how they handle compared to your coach. I hate to tell you but all coaches ride rough over rough expansion joints and bridge transitions and it is not just in Texas. Bill
  22. Welcome to the forum. Weigh the coach, all 4 corners is the best. then set air preshure as recommended by Michelin. You are not going to get a luxury car ride, some roads are better than others. The same as the wind sway when geting passed. You are driving a big barn door and it will catch the wind. How many miles have you driven it? Sometimes it takes a couple of trips to get use to driving a bigger vehicle made on a truck chassis. Bill
  23. I don't know how much the difference is just marketing or actual difference in the product. Like you said using something is better than nothing. Let us know how it works. Bill
  24. Without seeing the problem the only advice is to buy a big enough TV to cover up where the enclosure was. Bill
  25. Chris, You bring up a good point. Always when looking at coaches (if you are interested in one) have them bring in the slides so you can see what it looks like and what if any acess problems you might have. If where I am is mostly level I don't use the levelers. The only restriction I have with the slides in is no acess to the drawers at the foot of the bead and you would need to go over the bead to get to the big closet in back/the outher side of the bead. This is not a problem for us as we seldom spend nights outside of a campground. We can use all the outher features when stopping for lunch ect. I haven't seen many coaches you could walk around the bead with the rear slide/slides in. I have a friend that didn't look at his 5er with the slides in and found he couldn't get to the bathroom or refrigerator with the slides in. Bill
