  1. Welcome to the forum Bill. I am going on the road around the 16th. Hope to be back for the FMCA rally in Shawnee Oklahoma in September. Bill
  2. That was nice of them to do that. Bill
  3. Talk to your insurance man. I had them email me the info and I printed it out. When you get near the border shut off the "data" on your phone. You can pick up a Canadian tower and not know it. All those things that update automatically could cost you. In Canada data is my the Meg not the Gig. I waited till I had wifi and could use that for any data, such as internet. Bill
  4. Remember that link I sent you? Bill
  5. Better man than me. I have see how much work it is to remove Diamond shield. I walked away from a couple coaches that had it for that reason. Good luck on your restoration. Bill
  6. Well one wonders if old Gene made it home in the last 7 months. Bill
  7. I hope not, by know they would need a clean up on ilese 3,4 and 5. Bill
  8. Does it turn freely when you turn it by hand? Can you hear it trying to start? Bill

    Tire Insurance

I still have never heard of anyone offering insurance on RV size tires,19.5 or 22.5. The OP was looking for insurance that covered 100% of the cost of a flat. The only one I know of is called "self insurance". Bill
  10. I am wondering how the OP gremlinbangles liked the rally in Perry. Bill
  11. Welcome to the forum. When I was using my dolly I didn't need extra lights as the dolly had all the lights required. Bill
  12. As far as I know there isn't anyone that is doing that. Bill
  13. No wonder every time I walked by your coach I got that hungry feeling, craving McDonalds fries. Bill
  14. "Can anyone recommend a tire insurance company that actually delivers on advertised promises in the event we should have a tire issue while traveling." I think you are talking about The FMCA Roadside Assistance Program. You can read more here. http://www.fmca.com/benefits/fmca-roadassist.html Bill
  15. I doubt the hub is bad. you can get most everything to rebuild it hear. http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/workhorse?a=Referer+www.google.com+URL+%2Fen%2Fcatalog%2Fworkhorse Bill
  16. For parts you might look hear. The Airdog lift pump is a popular replacement over the stock pump. I don't know any shops in your area. http://www.thoroughbreddiesel.com/bosch/vp44-24month-airdog-combo.htm#12 Bill
  17. Have you upgraded your antenna? Digital TV's don't just get fuzzy when the signal is weal the go blank. Have you checked the settings in the TV? Done the channel search? Bill
  18. Just a comment, I must be in the minority, I look for campgrounds as a base camp not as a destination. Not complaining and I have saved this place for the next time I am up that way. By the way I have pictures of the American falls with no water going over it. Bill
  19. This is worth trying. I have used the pressure relief valve to drain a little water out. I hadn't thought of the hose method. Bill
  20. I would cycle the fill valve a couple of times as there may be debris or mineral deposits keeping it from sealing. I would make it a habit of using a pressure regulator. Some parks you don't need it but some have really high pressure. You will find a disclaimer in most contracts that the park is not responsible for damage because of hi water pressure. Bill
  21. Not just in Lipan but all over. There is always a big push on holidays. Yesterday there were 6 or 7 units working the West 820-I-30 interchange area. I also saw several state police and different sheriff's department cars on the back way to Burleson. Bill
  22. Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new coach. I would get the package of manuals that came with the coach out and see if you can find anything about the chassey. Some of the Ford chassis came with helper springs or airbags. Have you actually had it drage in normal use? Have you had it weighed to see what each wheel location weight is? Front to rear weight? How much clearance do you have? How does it drive going down the highway when you test drove it on the freeway with traffic? There are many things to help your suspension but first let's try simple things. Might be as simple as adding air to existing air bags. Bill
  23. You can add a recliner or two. There have been several do that just recently. Here is a link that may give you ideas. I am in the camp that thinks the added storage in a class A makes it the better choice for long stays or trips. Bill
  24. Ken, Glad you got home safe. That would have been a 3 day run for me. I hope they comped the new fuel pump and the labor as it was their mistake. Did they say it was algae clogging the hose? I would run a bottle of Diesel Kleen and once in awhile a bottle of the biocide to keep the algae under control. I doubt you will have a problem with gelling in the summer. Having a couple extra filters is always a good thing. As you have heard the first thing recommended if you have a problem is "change the filters". Bill
