  1. OP has an Aqua hot and residential fridge. He wrote that stove is the only gas entity in coach...just like mine was! Carl
  2. Paul. When I had Gas Class A's, I always had alignment, caster and toe checked first, then added a Safe T plus and a thicker rear sway bar...that knocked out 95% of the problem! What we have is a "rolling earthquake" to begin with and your never going to get 100%, whether it's a big heavy DP or a Gasser. If Desertdeals or I, told you how things have changed in the coach business, regulatory, technology and tires over the past 40-50 years, you would not believe it ! Everything that has been said on this Post alone, did not exists in the late 60's and 70's! Carl
  3. Currently have Progressive, liability only...just had a fender bender (no such thing in a MH, even at slow walking speed) following the directions of parking volunteers at Shawnee, OK.) my back end clipped another coach mirror...I ended up with his mirror embedded in rear of coach and about $ 3-5K of damage to me, less than $1K to him...Progressive on the spot on a Sunday. He's taken care off...my "dime" on me! First RV accident for me in 48 years of Class A's....all I can do is hope for another 48 years! Carl

For some reason, that only Gremlins know, nothing happens to a new or used unit until after you pay and drive out of sight...you can test drive the coach, stay overnight in it, PDI it until h freezes over...drive out with title and it's like another coach ! RodgerS. In another post about 3 months ago, you said that the Newmar was the cats meow..DP or gas! Carl
  5. Blake. On my 07' Tour, I had no Aqua hot either, so I replaced my gas stove with the same as this coach...just needed a designated CB. Then got rid off no cold and had a residential fridge put in. The hot water heather and furnace was gas! If I was to do it today, it would be Induction, like Joe's! Carl
  6. Since we have, residential microwave/convection, cooktop, sinks, fridge and water fixtures....is it to much to ask for a Kohler Toilet? Geez! Carl
  7. Joe, let them be distracted...you could get one or more of them to buy you a brand new coach and toad...
  8. Joe. Your on the East Coast...Ray is West Coast. Different mind set ! Like the Republic of Texas, we don't judge by what we see! A Pink coach and a Pink Caddy with OB stickers, we may question! Carl
  9. Draw a line from #6 to #17, anything North, I would save for Late Spring to late Summer. Rest is fine. There is a reason why people head South in October to April ! Carl
  10. Not even going there. My coach had a similar problem, right after purchase. I had the gas stove and LP tank removed (nice big storage bay now), replaced stove with a Sears electric 3 burner. Happy! I would suggest you do an Induction stove top...I would. Carl

Blake, I was never a "Analysis Paralysis " Drilling Consultant...never overthink a particular situation! As for PDI, the Manufacturer is suppose to do it before delivery to Dealer, who is suppose to do the same before giving coach or trailer to buyer...we all know, that don't happen! Not a perfect world and time is money! Have a lady next to me, in a 12' Allegro Bus 40' with a broken slide out, spoke to her and she has intimate knowledge of Red Bay, Al. knows everybody, from Bob Tiffin to the floor sweeper, by their first name! Carl
  12. Bill, I never want another! It's listed as a Sea/Land toilet, I've had it in a boat and it works fine, both wet and dry flush...in a RV, not ! Don't know why... Their both rolling earthquakes. I suspect Brett may have one in his sail boat. Carl
  13. Bill, how will that react to a Dometic Electric 8700 macerator toilet? Anecdotal knowledge... Carl
  14. If your ever in the area of Hwy 145 between Cortez, CO. and Telluride, CO. there is a National Forest Campground about 10 miles south of Lizard Head Pass. It's a very nice place to spend 3 or 5 days. Park rd. going in is OK but steep, at bottom go slow, but no overhangs to worry and they have 30A...no ac needed, ever. Water is available at sites (low pressure) I used it to fill tank, then use pump. No sewage, but dump site available. I took my Jeep in first, then coach...I was not the only 45' in there. It's at 9,700 feet...I got acclimated at Dolores River RV Park, 7,200', for 6 weeks and going on the higher elevation 4x4 trails...San Juan Mountains! Carl
  15. Kay, there are something's that I'd rather not know, this is one! I figured out a long time ago, that if you really wanted to be a con man or woman. become an environmentalist !
  16. Joe. What? You don't feed the girls after pumping...with a Dinner next door? Shame, shame!
  17. BillAdams. Saudi has about 2 more years of oil reserves, then they will have to buy it...we have estimated 150-200 years reserve and a lot off it we can't use because of environment specialists (ugh), govt. etc. With homegrown production, we could be looking at diesel prices below reg gas again! Politics...Ugh! I-10 between Lafayette and the Beaux Bridge! I-20 East of Monroe! I-30 Little Rock! I-40 before Memphis! Carl
  18. Now, if we could only use "Charmin Ultra", heaven on earth in a RV!
  19. Blake, I have not heard the name Red Rock Canyon in a lot of years. That used to be the Finnish Line for the Mohave Desert Moto Cross race in the late 50's and 60's! Normal winner was Steve McQueen!! I had a modified Honda 150 Scrambler...You brought back some wonderful memories! Your right about the Canyon, used to camp (tent) there a lot with Troop 222, Boy Scouts, Santa Monica. Same with Camp Wolverton in Sequoia. Carl
  20. My extra 5' does make a difference in what I can use. I mostly go for Truck Stops, hardly ever in FJ, Pilot or Loves anymore as their prices are mostly out off line, even with 5% or .8 cents kick back. Coming up to Shawnee, OK. I used a Chevron TS and got 72 gal. at $2.029...Loves, 12 miles away was $2.239, same with Pilot across the road from Chevron! I'm believing that the "kick back" brands are padding their price for the kick back, also they have a lot more trucks at a time. I don't want to sit in line for 15 to 30 minutes waiting. I have also used a regular gas station that I could get a pump on the outside and be off the road...makes me unpopular with the cars and very popular with the station! A 150 gal. fuel tank is not as great a thing as one would think. 25% is still designated as a shut off, of Generator and depending of where the fuel line enters the tank, you never get at all the fuel available. As for OP...Until I got a 97' coach, I never had a problem as he described, but up until this one, I learned to live with it...I have heard of all the fix it's and Desertdeals is the best ! Carl

    House Batteries

Blake, at least you have easy accesses to your engine batteries! Carl
  22. 9 and 10 mpg's? I'm lucky when I get 6.4 !!! Is that by computer or actual known mileage vs actual gallons used? I go by gal, miles...no gen on. Carl
