  1. Yes, Magna Shade. We have used one for about 10-12 years. Easy to setup without a ladder. They include a telescopic rod to push the top edge up to the highest magnets.
  2. I think that is what I stated needed to be done. Yes, manufacturers do not make easy access to be able to repair. Thank you for stating what fixed your problem.
  3. Mine us ab RF197. There are suffix letters that indicate the finish. Black, stainless steel etc.
  4. I think because of weight, you are required to have lights. Our state only allows small utility trailers to be towed without lights and only in daylight hours.
  5. I think the OP is referring to a Brake Buddy or similar. If so, the answer would be no, because you still need the wiring for lights. Suggest you look on Roadmaster’s wb site and look at the various wiring diagrams which will answer your questions.
  6. I totally agree. We have had our residential refrigerator for 5 or 6 years. We will never go back, either.
  7. Where is your water heater? Probably there are one or more check valves that work in combination with the bypass valve to prevent flow of water into the heater. While our Fleetwood Expedition is newer than yours, I had to remove two drawers and the wood panel behind the bypass valve to get very difficult access to the rear of the heater to replace the proportioning valve. While doing so, I had to replace 3 or 4 flex lines because the seals would not stop leaking. I finally made my own hoses by using brass fittings and clamps with larger reinforced flex hose. Would not want to do it again, but all is working well.
  8. Search for my post dated May 22, 2019 Procedure For Cleaning Rear Mounted Radiator. It is lengthy re-post. My MH has a CAT engine, but the process is the same for you.
  9. The Simple Green referenced above should be Simple Green Extreme using a 1/13 green to water if I remember correctly. The label explains the ratios to use.
  10. It isn’t that FMCA hasn’t tried to get discounts in Canada, but as I last heard it has to do with Canada government regulations that may not be true now.
  11. You may have to use an old style that doesn’t have electronic controls that do not play well with msw inverters. We have found that on inverter, crock pots cook a little hotter, so you may have to set back to low or warm sooner than you would on shore power.
  12. Google search states manual transmission is flat towable. If you would like a little larger auto, the Chevrolet Equinox is flat towable even with automatic transmission without 4 wheel drive. We have towed 2 different Equinoxs for over 100,000 miles.
  13. FMCA cannot help what the shipping cost is charged to send that large a package to Canada. When in the US, buy one at an Area rally or National convention. If stationary for long enough in the US, have FMCA ship one to you.
  14. If you can go to FMCA.com look for chapters in the Northeast Area. Some may be in northern states but include adjacent provinces. If you were in Ontario, there are three chapters.
  15. Thank you for the clarification.
  16. Suggest you call FMCA and ask for Membership Dept. Please post the answer here.
  17. We just eliminated DirecTV. We now use a ROKU Streaming speaker system, $99, with our about 2 year old LED tv.
  18. There is one in the pump. It is probably leaking to fill your fresh water tank. You can remove the head of the pump and disassemble to clean. May fix your problem. I carry a spare pump or a spare pump head for possible failures. Another possibility is the city/fill tank valve may not be set correctly. Or is also allowing leaking into tank.
  19. The intersection of highways US20 and 5 in northern Indiana. The town is Shipshewana.
  20. We will be at Pla-Mor campground in Bremen, IN about noon on August 5th to noon on August 8th with the Hoosier Cruiser chapter. Plan on going to the RV Hall of Fame on the 6th. There is a lot to see and do in the area. There are several RV surplus outlets in the area, too.
  21. When the OP states there is a smell, the color may be caused by magnesium which is more difficult to counter.
  22. If that happens, install a charge line. I had to for our Chevrolet Equinox. Ran #10 wire from battery to RV electrical outlet for towed. From towed’s connector again #12 wire to towed’s battery. I used a 20amp circuit breakers on both ends You need to protect RV wiring and towed’s wiring
  23. There are two breakers on the generator. Turn both off and then back on. Are your salesman switchs near the door on? If the batteries were really 1.1 volts they need to be replaced. They are so low probably your battery charger will not even try to charge them. You might try a separate battery charger, but most of them will not try to charge a 1.1 volt battery.
  24. One correction, the two rubber plugs to remove to get to the external antenna connections are on the bottom, not the top.
