  1. When looking for fuses look everywhere. I am having an issue with one of my 12 volt lights in the front passengers side. I found a fuse panel in a compartment in the rear of the bedroom where the DW keep her sweaters. Friends have found panels in their closets, even had a friend that an RV service tech find a fuse wrapped up in a bundle of wires under has dash. Go figure. It's like the ole tail about a coke bottle inside a fender well with a note saying, "Bet you had a hard time finding this". Sometimes I almost feel the same about some RV builders. Now off my soap box. Hope you find the fuse. Herman
  2. Depends if your in the city limits or not. Some counties require them but only if you tell them that you are building something. When we built our Barn and then Home we didn't have any permits but we exceeded all known code requirements. Herman
  3. Elizabeth, I know this is a strange question, but by some chance have you by installed a chip to boost your Horsepower? If so that can present several problems. Herman
  4. A new coach should have a dish on it. Herman
  5. Tell Linda, no problem just a couple of months and she want have worry about it. Herman
  6. Wayne, I understand but Winegrad told me that their dome was not compatible with Dish's new signal. Any how I got a $1,295.00 satellite dish for $800.00. Herman
  7. I think it is about time to close this Topic. It has gone from "No Power to GFCI" to whether the inverter is turn on, to what the voltage is in the house batteries. Please feel free to start a new topic and we will try to keep it focused on answering your specific question. Herman
  8. Bill & Penny, Welcome to the Forum. Ross and Carl have a tremendous amount of sage advise to pass on to all that need it. Both are very active in FMCA on the National level. However I have to correct you in one place. It is Manholt not manhole, although it may be apropo. So keep those cards and letters coming and have fun in the warmer weather. Herman
  9. The same thing happened to Dish Network. If you have a Winegard contact them and ask if their Direct TV Dome will become obsolete. When it happened to Dish they sold their Dish satellite dish for a discount. I saved about $400.00 on mine. Good luck and don't forget to call if your dome is a Winegard. Herman
  10. When you have the TroubleShoot PDF copied, call VIP Vehicle Improvement Products. Asked for a tech. They will walk you through the entire test. I am willing to bet what you have is a bad control module. (A black box) My module is located in the Electrical Bay just in front of my drivers side wheel. Herman
  11. rereaves " Superior. I talked with one of the distributors this morning and it looks like the total cost would be between $1500 and $1800 depending on installation issues." I Had one put in my 2003 Extended Cab Silverado. They had to make me a new drive shaft since mine was aluminum. They made a 2 piece drive shaft with a carrier bearing and brace and mine was only $1,300.00 out the door. If I am not mistaken your drive shaft is steel and would only need to be cut and the disconnect installed. I am not sure of your location but mine was done be "DRIVE SHAFT KING in Dallas, Texas 214-941-7122" Herman
  12. Jamie, Again Welcome to the Forum. If it is a choice between lap or lap/shoulder, remember there is just one "Click It" in both and you need all the protection you can get. IMHO, go with the Lap/Shoulder set up. Happy and SAFE travels. Herman
  13. robrando, Welcome to the Forum. Sorry but this gentleman hasn't been back to the Forum since July 20, 2016. I doubt there are any pictures. But if you have an issue or have some sage advice when you see a current topic, chime in we can alway use new ideas and solutions. Herman
  14. bburns8, Have you solved your issue with your GFCI outlet? Herman
  15. Pete, there is a Cummins Service Center at 16525 E. Skeiiy Dr, Tulsa, OK. 918-234-3240. There is also one in Wichita KS. Herman
  16. I always wondered why when they show case one of those units and the MSRP is $658,000.00 and the tested unit was $673,500.00. Now I know why. That reminds me of a Chevrolet Tahoe they had on display at the Louisiana State Fair. MSPR $ 75,000.00+ but when you looked at the addo on sticker $93,000.00 +. Talk about sticker shock. Herman
  17. Carl, you can alway make me slobber all over myself with commits like "Linda will make her Pecan, rum bread pudding, with praline, rum sauce! " Happy hunting see your Tuesday. Herman
  18. If you want you could install a "Freeze Guard" like the do for Swimming pools. It will power up the pool motor when the temperature drop below 36 degrees F. It can be plugged into any 110 Volt outlet in the coach or shore power. I had one on our pool when we lived in the city. Herman
  19. Does anyone want to have a get together in Perry like we did in Gillette? In Perry we had several folks come by my coach and had some nice exchange of thoughts. I once again found out that "The First Liar Doesn't Stand A Chance" I will set up something if you would like. Herman
  20. Carl, on your coach with two 2k inverters can you determine which one controls which circuits? Herman
  21. Harry, the op said that it is a 2017 coach with factory original tires (19 inch G670s with 7,000 miles). It is possible the factory put one wrong size tire on but very unlikely. I go with the thought of a belt separation and that he should go very slowly to the nearest tire dealer and have all of his rear tires inspected. Herman
  22. Roger, Several questions. Is he concerned about when dry camping, on shore power in a campground or both? Does he have a Converter or an Inverter/charger? Does he have Deep cell Golf Cart batteries or Cranking Batteries? Herman
  23. Jim, I am sure you know this but when I change any filter, fuel or oil, I will put a bit of grease on the gasket. This just helps it slide smoothly when tightening. Two items comes to mind, first maybe the filter wasn't seated properly and caused a leak down and second as we go into winter and with the fluctuations in temperatures there can be a lot of condensation, more with a tank with less then a 1/4 tank of fuel. I always try to top off my tank just before I get home so I have less chance of condensation. Just a couple of thoughts from me. Good luck and let us know how it turns out. Herman
