  1. Wow that is a lot of oil. I am glad my ISM only takes 40 quarts of oil. By the way I am running Shell Rotella T-6. Bill
  2. Are you talking about the ABQ area or the campgrounds? I would say no problem on either. The only thing to watch for is the campgrounds are on the acess road off I-40 on the west side of town. Just as you top the hill at the exit with the Loves. Turn right and then left on the acess road. Look at the map once you see it it is not a problem. It is down past Albuquerque RV and Camping World. I don't see any problem getting our little camper in there. Bill
  3. Welcome to the forum. Keep in mind that is probably "max" draw. Once it cools down it shuts off. It only runes enough to maintain temps. Bill
  4. pbandj.rv, welcome to the forum. I don't have any experience but the first step I would do is talk to your insurance agent. They would have current numbers. Bill
  5. Looks like most campgrounds in that part of the world. That is a big site. Bill
  6. Welcome to the forum. trojanfan25 I bet that is a 15,000 btu ducted heat pump. Can you check and let us know. The only problem is there is a shortage of roof top AC units right now. I did see PPL had some of the small 13,000 units and some of the taller (medium) height 15K BTU air-conditioned only available on the web. Well until you call. jleamont, Yes PPL is a good parts place. I have one les than 10 miles from where I garage. Bill
  7. If nothing else look for a better one. Let us know how it comes out. Bill
  8. I added a layer of plywood to help prevent the boards from cracking/splitting. Bill
  9. Why not just get a 2"X14" plank and cut it up into 14X14 pads to put under the rear wheels? Bill
  10. Welcome to the forum. One outher thing that they can do is when they have the injectors out look at the cylinders with a bore scope. I certainly hope not but it does sound like the symptoms described by others of a "dusted" engine. There is definitely something major when you can say "Uses maybe a quart every ten miles and that's conservative estimate." Bill
  11. That is barley broken in. My ISM Cummins came to me with 125,000 miles on it and I wasn't concerned. Bill
  12. True he might still be stuck on the George Washington... Bill
  13. Ray the one thing good about it is it would probably be easier to work on the roof units than the basement ones. Bill
  14. I would be carful, remember she is back on the forum. Bill
  15. Glad you got it fixed. Welcome to the forum. Bill
  16. Yes, Framingham is a city in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in the United States. Incorporated in 1700, it is within Middlesex County and the Metro West subregion of the Greater Boston metropolitan area. Wikipedia. Framingham? dbenoit, I bet it is a family thing. Most people would say they were going to Boston. Bill
  17. I think the newer ones in Ray's link are better made. Yes I have seen several problems with the plastic fans breaking. It isn't all that hard to replace it but they should last better. Bill
  18. Paulpieroni@yahoo.com, welcome to the forum. Congratulations on your new Entegra. Yes I agree the sooner you go the better. Things will get hectic after school is out. Have you scouted a rout? I would take I-20 to Birmingham then I-22 to Memphis to pick up I-40 west That will take you to Williams AZ. I agree with Herman, don't overdo it on 200-300 miles is a long day especially starting out with a new/new to you RV. It can be more stressful till you get more use to it. I have found that you will average 50 miles a hour not counting breaks /lunch. So 300 miles is 6 hours driving more like 8 with breaks/lunch. I NEVER like to arrive/set up after dark. Here are some tools to help you plan your trip. RV Parky is a good tool to find places to stay and plan routs. http://www.rvparky.com/ Gas Buddy You can down load it from your app store. Find cheap gas and you can record your gas/fuel expenses. You can look ahead and see what the prices are where you are headed . It helps plan fuel stops. I would try to get a EFS diesel discount card before you leave. RV park reviews is a good tool to see what other people think about a place. http://www.rvparkreviews.com/ NPS you can look up things to see/points of interest. https://www.nps.gov/index.htm You can also see what campgrounds are available in the different parks. Also look at getting a pass and if you are 62 or older definitely get a Senior Pass it is a $100.00 Lifetime pass that covers everyone in your car. https://www.nps.gov/planyourvisit/passes.htm You may have to wait till you get to your first park they have a great way to record the parks you have ben to. It is called a Passport, you buy it in the visitor’s center, it kind of looks like a Passport but you add stickers and stamp the date and time you were at the park. One other thing you need is get a Passport America discount card. This is a tool to help campgrounds fill empty spots during the week or slow times. Each campground sets the time and discount but most times it is 50% and some places 3-4 days. We saved about $450.00 last year. I think I got my $44.00 back. http://www.passport-america.com/ For navigation, I highly recommend CoPilot. We have used it for several years and it does a great job. The big benefit is you can down load maps when you have Wi-Fi and it doesn’t use data. I have it on the phones and on my tablet. The tablet gives a bigger picture to see and follow. I like Yelp when on the road to see what places there are and to get reviews, see menus. Who wants to drive 2000 miles to eat the same fast food stuff you have at home. Oh Ranger, is a park locater for those hidden gems like Antelope Island in the grate Salt Lake. Rest Stops, is a good app. You might look at the apps for all the big truck stops Pilot Flying J, Loves, or get the ALLSTAYS Big Truck Stops. Any questions let me know. Bill
  19. I think I would be talking to the manager about fixing or getting you a better site. They may have a tractor with a blade that could move some of that dirt around. After all you are spending some serious money with them (seasonal) not just overnight. But that is what you get for being Wicked Nauti. Where in Main is this? We are going to be up that way later in the season. Bill
  20. Scott89128, I just want to add this. You can get the dimensions for your current refrigerator from their website and outher are listed in adds online. Bill
  21. I am not a fan of a cover. I think it would keep heat in and the biggest problem would be dust getting under it and scuffing up your paint. Bill
  22. Welcome to the forum. I would do a lot of measuring. I wanted to do that switch with a Samsung on my last RV but it was 3" to tall to fit. I ended up with a smaller Sears unit. Just make shure it will fit before you buy it. I didn't have all the help Herman had so I had the sears delivery guys set it inside.( I told them it was a RV beforehand) They had to take the door's off but it went in pretty good. My old coach was a Bounder 38N. Bill
  23. This is where Carl was hanging out today. He might be on one of the carts, I don't know. https://www.facebook.com/nirvc.corp/videos/190667619563942 Bill
