We just had a KVH in-motion satellite system installed in our 2005 Monoco Cayman, and now we are hearing humming sound coming from speakers on the TV.

Any ideas on what's causing this or how to fix?

Tommy

Hello Tommy, welcome to the forum.

Post is just a little short of information ... humming coming from speakers on TV? Is the TV on when it hums, or maybe off? More info is needed.

Tommy, the hum from the speakers is caused by a bad ground in the audio cables in most cases.

Are you using RCA type cables to connect the audio ? one could disconnect the cables running between the Sat. receiver and the TV to see if the hum disappears.

Rich.

Type CostaCoat on the e-bay search engine. I ordered a small quanity to try it out, and the results were as advertised. I don't have any idea how long it will last, but hopefully as long as advertised.
