  1. When you pull your old batteries out scrub the bay with baking soda and rinse well then paint with an acid resistant paint. Bill
  2. I am running T6 now and my oil samples are coming back excellent. Also if you buy before the first there is a $5.00 a gallon rebate. http://rotella.shell.com/coupons-rebates-and-sweepstakes/save-5-per-gallon.html I have run the Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck and had good results with it as well. Bill
  3. Besides Google maps I have been using COPilot for navigation because it doesn't use data. You download the maps ahead of time. I have found it to be very accurate. Bill
  4. I installed mine before the turbo. I did a lot of reading and research and nearly all the instructions were for before the turbo gave more accurate readings. Some on the truck forums have one before and one after. My conclusion is you are trying to know what the temperatures are in the cylinder. I hear people worried about melting the turbo. But I bet you melt the piston tops way before you melt the high temp steel in the turbo hot side. Bill
  5. Carl are you coming to Chandler? Bill
  6. Carl, I like the filter before the pump to catch any thing that you might pick up at/ with bad fuel. Ultimately all the fuel will go through the filter cleaning it so I think you are good to go. Bill
  7. Interesting as google maps is quite accurate. Google earth shows what side of the house I am in. Bill
  8. Glad to hear you are coming. Have you found a place to stop before going into Chandler to be parked? You want to go in with full water and empty holding tanks. I have reservations, for 2 nights (March 4, 5 leaving on 6) at Silverado RV Resort in Eloy, AZ which is 45 miles from Chandler. The rate is $35 a night with a 2 night minimum and a $25 non-refundable deposit. Like all the area parks the sites are back-ins. This may not work for you but we are coming from FW and will be parking with the Red River Rovers club. Last I heard we will be going in early on the 6th. Bill
  9. I think there are only about 5 different keys used for the industry. If you want better security you need to change the locks. You can buy sets of locks (keyed alike) from any lock smith store. Bill
  10. I was having problems with spell check in Internet Explorer but if I use Chrome it works sortuf. Bill
  11. Welcome to the forum kenschmidt. Is the line in the Aqua Hot or to one of the radiators? We need more information. One of the Aqua Hot experts will be along soon. Bill
  12. Jim, I have 3, one in the wet bay two in the coach set to come on at 40*. I really not concerned with the cost. If I thought it was going to go below 20* I would leave both furnaces on set on the lowest setting. The good news hear in Texas the cold snap will only last 3 days then it will be back to lowes in the 40's. Billl
  13. It lookes like Engle's card wasen't hacked or stolen. Just the normal use when you click on that auto renewal option. Bill
  14. Sometimes the 750 setting isn't enough, depending on how cold it is going to be. I went down to my coach today and made shure my heaters were set up to keep things above freezing. We are expecting the first freeze of the season with temperatures forecast to be in the mid to low 20s. I don't care if my bill goes up as long as nothing freezes. I also think BROWNSQUAD'S problem is the batteries. drawing more current than normal. Bill
  15. The fitting is on the rim at the bottom of the top part of the ram (if you have them) they may be hard to see if crusted with old grease and dirt. Regularly spraying the shafts with silicone will help to keep them working. Remember they only retract on the spring pressure. Like other parts of your coach they benefit from being "exercised". Running them through full travel should purge any air from the system. Bill
  16. I want to video Herman doing the maneuver he described. Bill
  17. I didn't see if you sprayed down the shaft with Silicone or otherwise lubed the shafts. One outher thing look and see if you have grease fittings on the bottom of the top part of the hydraulic cylinder. Also try running them up and down 5 0r 6 times. Bill
  18. Mypopslou, I would not use the fill valve to connect your extend a stay. The last extend a stay I hooked up I installed it in line, after the shut off and regulator on my coach. This way I can run off the external tank and keep my onboard tank in reserve. I used a regulator on my external tank. One thing to look at is they make quick disconnects rated for propane and it makes it easier to attach the external tank or latter hooking up an external grill to your onboard tank. Bill
  19. If you are in a park plugged in why do you need to run a extension cord? Bill
  20. See the manufactuers got together and pledged to never do things the same way. I have to have the key ON for my slides to work. Bill
  21. Quit encouraging people, the last time I was at Dirty Al's at Pelican Station there was a wait. Bill
  22. My thought is yes it is higher than what Cat specks but you aren't having any problem with it blowing the seal on the oil filter. Before I spent 600-800 dollars I would try running a oil like Rotella T-6 that is a 5-40 oil. and run the block heater for a couple hours before starting when it is cold. Bill
  23. I would talk to a different dealer. I just bought 4 tires for my toad as a stand alone deal with no problem. Where are you located? Also be aware when the dealer quoted a price it is not the price from Michelin through the program. Get the part number for the tires from the dealer and call the FMCA office to get the program price. You can go here to find dealers: http://www.michelinrvtires.com Bill
