  1. While there is a learning curve, I like Windows 10, and I keep it updated frequently. Usually not on the release date, but probably within a week. The exception is if it is a security update.
  2. On my coach when on shore power and I turn on the inverter, the inverter will take over when I unplug. But if I turn the generator on and the off the inverter will not take over. I have to manually turn the inverter on.
  3. If I remember correctly, air filters have a shelf life of three years. I had a spare I kept in my storage and found that it was four years old. When I had other services done, I wanted the air filter replaced and wanted a new one. They called their supplier because didn’t know about shelf life. Supplier said absolutely correct and sent one built just three months ago. Mine is the type that is a full replacement made by Racor.
  4. The $1,275 is based on the cost to replace with a residential refrigerator plus parts to install which I did myself.
  5. MASA is probably the best, but also the most expensive. FMCAssist is also worldwide except return of RV is limited to Canada, Mexico and USA.
  6. We got our 2nd check also. Not as much, but there are to be two more for a total of $1,275.
  7. There sre a few misnomers in the above posts. FMCAssist is medical repatriation insurance provided by Seven Corners that is included in you FMCA yearly dues. FMCA Roadside Assistance is for breakdowns of your RV. There is a separate charge of $69/year for this and is provided by the parent company VAS. VAS provides this service for many different organizations like FMCA. VAS had provided Coach Net and Good Sam several years ago. Going to the FMCA web site and carefully reviewing Member Benefits should clear up any hearsay. By the way Sky Med is not an insurance and they can change their services at anytime last I heard it was owned by four individuals and operated out of SCOTTSDALE, AZ.
  8. Now you know how good FMCA Roadside is at $69.00/year.
  9. The last I heard ws two business days, but that may have improved in past year since I went to the seminar at Chandler, AZ.
  10. Many Fleetwood products use Chevrolet C-Series truck ingnition switches, so almost anyone can copy your key.
  11. On a previous motor home, I had to use bolts all the way through. Added stainless steel plates on the inside and outside because the mirror was cracking the fiberglass.
  12. When you say loose, is it loose where attached to coach or is it pivoting on the arm if that is the style you have?
  13. Back to Herman’s invitation. Will try to get there. Thank you. Ross PS: I think the forum was way to big. Once wondering off the original topic, a new topic should be started. One can always go back if a comment is pertinent to the original topic.
  14. Keep in mind that you need to watch what you have plugged in and on when not plugged into shore power, but when plugged in the inverter has a by pass relay to connect those outlets to shore power. Ours is fed from the shore power with a 30 amp breaker, so you will be able to use more power than when it is inverting.
  15. Yes. See towing guides under magazine tab. Not over 65mph, pull one fuse and run engine twice a day to lub transmission. Place in neutral and turn key to accessory. With fuse pulled battery will not discharge.
  16. If you want to see my installation in person, I will be at Happy Trails Resort located on the northwest corner of Bell Road and Cotton Lane just west of Hwy 303 early November 2018.
  17. Velcro strap around upper door handles and a slide latch. I’ll try to include pictures
  18. Wayne: Numbers are permanent, never repeated, but sons, daughters, and parents can use the number with a letter S D P.
  19. I am using my 4th or 5th Atwood jack controller on my 2006 Fleetwood Expedition at $525 each. The controller is no longer available. There are two control cables that are connected to the controller. The connections are very small about the size of wire wrap pins. Over time vibration and damp location the connections will corrode. I have used the cleaner and the sealed with clear silicone. May last a year. Last time 3 years. This spring found that the pins had broken loose in the controller printed circuit board. Had to lay and solder wires to the etches on the board. I have seal again. Atwood’s solution is a complete replacement of the whole system, jacks and electronics. When I can no longer repair, I will replace with HWH. My other two coaches with HWH never had a problem, but that is a $5,000 to $8,000 solution that I don’t want to do.
  20. I like FMCA Forums. I visit iRV2 and Good Sam’s sights a couple times a month, and RVillage every few days where I usually visit the Tips and Tricks section if something new is posted. Otherwise I just mark all read and exit.
  21. Hope to if Governing Board meeting is over by then.
  22. I will try. Just hope the Governing Board is over by that time.
  23. I do as Wolfe stated in his last paragraph, and I check battery connections, too. Battery connections don’t have anything to do with 120vac, but can effect inverter/charger.
  24. All connections are on the back of the TV. I made my own mount out of aluminum angle so that I can tilt the TV up and place a cross stick to keep TV up to expose the connections. I should have taken pictures when I was installing. I would have to remove the outside frame and the sound bar to tilt to be able to do pictures now. Just not into that right now. Just finished pulling a 65 foot cable under the coach for the rear view monitor. Now need to fix leveling jacks control on non rainy days.
  25. Size is probably the main issue. Most led thin tvs will have the sound coming out the bottom, difficult to hear. Since the newer tvs have a much smaller frame the width is usually the limiting factor which will leave room for a 24-30” sound bar mounted below the tv. I just installed a 32” Samsung with a Viso sound bar. We have a direcTV receiver, blueray dvd player and over the air tv antenna. To connect to the TV direcTV receiver uses 3 composite video cables. The blueray uses hdmi, and sound bar uses optical. The only problem I have so far is that the universal remote doesn’t control the sound bar. Until I resolve which setup code to use, I have to use 2 remotes, but it is the best TV and sound we have had in a coach.
