  1. That sounds like a great trip. I liked the Coeur d'Alene area and will be back that way. Earlier you were talking about places to spend winters. Nevada is ok but I like a greener landscape. Have you looked at the Texas Rio Grande Valley or the coast? Bill
  2. It might be possible to use the bad wire to pull a new wire through. Bill
  3. This is a heads up about a major road closure. I-35W North of Fort Worth will be shut down both ways all weekend till Monday morning as reported on Chanel 8 website. The main northbound lanes of I-35W from Western Center Boulevard to U.S. 81/287 will be closed Friday, May 19 at 9 p.m. to Monday, May 22 at 6 a.m. due to a construction project. http://www.wfaa.com/traffic/construction-to-close-part-of-i-35w-in-fort-worth-over-weekend/440778987 Bill
  4. Great!!! Take pictures before you unplug anything. Glad you found it. Bill
  5. Welcome to the forum. It depends on what model of 2008 Escape you have. Both of the places I linked to say NO to the one he has. Bill
  6. I used PassPort America at Oasis. Yes Oasis is a little more but worth it. I stayed at Thousand Trails and I won't go back it took 3 spots before we found one that had power at the pedestal. Bill
  7. Look at your meter it may have a circuit tester feature. When you touch the probe to both ends of a wire it will sound a tone if you have a circuit. This is useful when you can't see a wire because it is in a bundle or behind something. Bill
  8. Have you consulted your owner's manual? Both the FMCA towing guide and Remco say it is not towable 4 down and you need to use a dolly. https://www.fmca.com/motorhome/towing/204-towing-guides-towing-four-wheels-down.html http://www.remcoindustries.com/Towing/Store.php Bill
  9. We were at a rally about 3 years ago there. Nice place but they get premium prices for all those going to Trade Days. Just looked at website. "Premium Pull Through Trade Days Weekend $69/day". There are several RV parks but no cheap ones during Trade Days. Bill
  10. I had the same set up. Simple enough to double check. Check voltage at #1 with shore power connected and with it disconnected. The #1 circuit was there to power your icemaker when not on shore power. You can run the NO Cold on gas or electric but for the ice maker to work when on gas you still need 110. Made me smile because it made the change over that much easier. Bill
  11. Hope you are feeling better. Now back to recruiting. Bill
  12. It still sounds like the relay. The relay clicks but doesn't shut off power. Have you measured power with one of the outher relays in this spot? Bill
  13. Might be a good time to look at the tire chart in the coach. Bill
  14. Hopefully you can get the drawings soon. Here is anouther guess. Can you determine which read switch is on the circuit that stayes "hot" or powered up. It could be the magnet on the reed switch is A, not lined up properly or B, not working properly. You said they all shower -0- voltage when you held a magnet to them. Bill
  15. I agree that the real growth will come from the ground up not the top down. By the way why did you stop with one? I am about 6 ahead of you and I haven't stopped. Bill
  16. Look at the bright side, now you don't have to get down on the ground and roll around with them. Bill
  17. Rich, You may have something with the sticking relay. Something is feeding power to that circuit. Interesting problem, most times it is no power this time we have power when we shouldn't. Bill
  18. They should be able to send them to you by email. "I reverse the wires on the inner slide motor to take it out. Once its out I put the wires back to normal and I can than push the close button and it will close correctly, however at that point the one relay stays energized which in not right." Check and see if the switch is working right. I believe it is a temporary switch (only makes contact when you hold it) and when you release it the power should be off. By relays, we are talking about the slide control circuit board. Bill
  19. Hopefully you can get some wiring diagrams or one of our more knowledgeable people will come along. See what you can find in the links Rich posted. Bill
  20. Welcome to the forum. Well I bet I see a couple of new tires in your future. Hope that solves the problem. Bill
  21. At what point does the magnet make contact? Can you switch relays to see if it makes a difference? My relays are all together. When I had a problem with the bedroom slide I switched moved the wiring connection/cannon plug with one of the front slides, controllers and used the switch for the front slide to operate it. Bill
  22. "The switched are basically magnetic rectangular." Yes like the magnetic locator switch on your front door that controls the front steps. Bill
  23. So it is a locater type setup. The magnets tell something(Controller) that the slide is in this position and now it can? I would look for what the sequence would be during the operation. Such as do both parts of the slide move /extend at the same tim? Or does the main part move all the way then the inner slide move? Can you get it to move in and out now? Bill
  24. I would look and see if there is an adjustment to the Magnet switch. Look for what the sequence would be during the operation. Bill
