  1. What better way to promote FMCA than get people like Keep Your Daydream who have 355K subscribers or as you noted RVing with Andrew Steele 57.9K subscribers, Matt's RV Reviews 87.9K subscribers. There are maney more. Yes there may be some overlap but getting the word out and explaining FMCA to people new to RVing or just geting the word out to people who have never heard of FMCA. Bill
  2. If you read back in the last 6 pages of post I have suggested that same thing and got a BS answer. Why not encourage some of the people who have big followings to create "international chapters" and monetize recruiting new members. Just like you get something for recruiting new members. Bill
  3. I think overall they are a nice coach. You might ask on the owners forum at IRV-2, https://www.irv2.com/forums/. Bill
  4. I agree, That is what I have. How is Herman doing? Bill
  5. That looks a lot like my thermostat so this should be interesting. I haven't pulled my cover off yet. Does it have a fuze under the cover? On my old Bounder when the thermostat acted up I would pull the fuze and it would re set and work. Maybe you can disconnect it interrupt/reboot the power and see if it helps. Bill
  6. I think the whole East can be a problem. They have the history of small crooked roads that use to be horse and wagon roads. They also have the most old narrow, low bridges with low load ratings. Newer roads are subject to the modern standards but the old roads are "grandfathered" in to the system. Personally when I am headed someplace I would rather pay the toll and have rest areas with fuel stops I can get in and out of and adequate parking space and places to eat if I want. Once I get in a area I want to stay for awhile I park my condo and go explore in the toad. Bill
  7. I have. What makes me smile is the people who say they are just going to not use any toll roads. It just shows me they have never driven in New England on non toll roads. Last year I tried to go from the Newfound Lake area cross lots to Maine. It was doable but slow on extremely narrow roads with no place to pull over and no usable fuel stops. Bill
  8. Yep we put the one in the toad in the bag when towing and we are charged like it is a trailer. Bill
  9. They passed a act in 2012 to make all tolling agencies inter operable but they still haven't made it happen. https://www.wired.com/story/national-tolling-system/#:~:text=Passed in 2012%2C the Moving Ahead for Progress,America's infrastructure intact%2C no matter where they're driving. Bill
  10. I haven't heard anything bad about them, just never had one. Bill
  11. I bought a used Blue Ox rated for 10,000 lb then had it serviced and re certified by Blue Ox at a FMCA rally. I always recommend that you get at least a 10,000 lb rated bar, that way if you happen to need it (have something heavier to tow) you don't have to buy a new towbar. Bill
  12. Don't blame you a bit. Bill
  13. Welcome to the forum. How cold is it outside? That heater on hi should do a fairly good job. Do you have it on the "Hi" setting? Fan on? Do you have enough power available? A 1500 w output is about the max you can get out of a space heater. Something I have done is to run a separate heavy duty extension cord from the power pedestal. Especially if you want to run a second heater. Run one on the extension and the outher through the RV power cord. Let us know what you find out. Bill
  14. Like jleamont said I would try to get wiring diagrams for all the systems that arn't working. Bill
  15. Yes I had to get a new transponder. Unfortunately I haven't been able to test it yet. Bill
  16. Great place. I have experience there to. Bill
  17. Welcome to the forum. I haven't towed a 5th-Wheel, so talking to E-ZPass would be the best answer. I got my pass in NH at a walk in service center. My instructions were to put the toads pass in the foil packet to shield it and when being towed it would be charged at a lower rate of a trailer not a car. So it would appear you only need a transponder for the truck and they automatically charge you for the trailer when towing. Let us know what they tell you. Bill
  18. Welcome to the forum and congratulations!!! Bill
  19. Which hospital? Glad you are doing well. Enjoy the nice warm room fall came while you were inside. It is cold and drisaley out here. Drove back from Fredericksburg in the slop it was 38 when I was parking the RV down at my place. Bill
  20. I seriously doubt that would have a measurable difference in temps. After looking at this again I also think the spacers may work the opposite of what you would think. They allow air to escape to the side and not be forced through the different coolers. The handiest tool I had on the last coach to tell how it was running was a exhaust temperature gage. This allowed me to see exactly how hot it was running nearly instantly verses watching engine coolant temps that take a while to change. Bill
  21. Carl are your front rims the same size as the drive tires? Bill
  22. Yes, but you have to have the paperwork approved before you travel. Bill
